Starwood Capital Invests in the Group
Starwood Capital, a global real estate investment fund with over $110 billion in assets under management, has acquired a minority stake of approximately 22% in our company's equity. The majority shareholder of the Group remains DV Holding S.p.A., controlled by our two founders, Valerio Fonseca and William Maggio, along with minority partner Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A.
THE NEW INDUSTRIAL PLAN
The resources raised through this operation will support the objectives of an ambitious industrial plan based on three strategic pillars:
Evolution of the business model from co-living to integrated living, offering even more flexible housing solutions not only for students and young professionals but also for multi-family, managers, and companies. This includes short-term, medium-term, and long-term accommodation options.
Integration of high-value-added services into our offering, not limited to accommodation but also enabling our customers to enjoy the benefits of being part of a vast community that currently consists of 10,000 people, providing a comprehensive 360-degree experience.
Development of an internationalization plan, including M&A operations, to strengthen our presence in markets where we are already established, such as Spain and France, and enter new European countries.
The goal is to build the largest European residential management platform in Europe.
Valerio Fonseca, our Founder & CEO, commented: "Today's announced operation represents a key moment in the evolution of the company's industrial project. Starting from 2022, we plan to expand our offerings to an even broader audience, develop the community, and provide advanced services to property owners, investors, and end customers. We are very proud that an international fund like Starwood, a top player in global real estate, has believed in our project, especially at a time when quality and innovation are essential for competitiveness at the national and international levels. We see great potential for synergies with such a strategic partner, joining a group of highly reputable partners like Tikehau Capital and Tamburi Investment Partners."
